And then there were four…

After a very long and trying start to our year in 2022, Liam and I welcomed our perfect rainbow baby Iris Reed into the world in on February 15, 2023. While my pregnancy journey with Iris was much different than that of Sloane’s, I am still in complete awe of the whole process and wouldn’t trade in the hard times we faced for anything because it brought us to our girl.

Iris has had our entire family wrapped around her little fingers since the day she was born, and to be honest, it feels as though she’s been with us for forever.

This Mother’s Day I am so incredibly thankful for the two tiny souls who made it earth-side to grow with me – I am beyond lucky that they chose me to be their mama. I am also eternally grateful to my sweet angels watching over us who taught me so much about patients and what’s important in life. They will always be a prominent part of my soul and our little families lives forever and always.

To those who have lost their mothers, to those who desperately long to be a mother, to those who selflessly love like a mother, to the adoptive, surrogate, nurturers and creatives, to those who may not have birth life but have birthed a life of their own, I honor you today and always.
