A Peaceful Stay At The PaliHotel Seattle
This 4th of July Liam, Bristol (our Terrier-doodle) and I took a trip to Seattle, Washington to watch two of our good friends get hitched. Originally Liam and I had every intention of flying to Seattle, but decided to spice up the long holiday week/weekend by taking a road trip… cause who doesn’t love a good scenic drive through the great states of Californa, Oregon, and Washington?! Obviously, we do ;).
3 pitstops, 9 Crime Junkie episode and 12 hours later, we finally made it to beautiful Seattle!
Upon our arrival, Liam and I checked-in to the PaliHotel Seattle. A posh boutique hotel that would make midcentury modern legends Charles and Ray Eames proud. The hotel sits on the corner of 1st Street + Pine and is seconds away from the famous Pike Place Market!
Liam and I were greeted with smiles by a team of friendly check-in staff. Our sweet little Bristol was greeted with kneeled knees, hugs and dog treats to make her feel just as welcome!
From the Forest Green paint found on the walls to the eclectic yet perfectly quirky decor found throughout the hotel, the PaliHotel Seattle’s vintage vibes and statement touches “had me at hello”. I especially admired how the design details within the hotel stayed tried-and-true to Seattle’s roots as this century-old building is registered as one of Seattle’s historical landmarks. The self-proclaimed interior decorator in me was in design heaven!
Since we arrived in the late afternoon, Liam and I quickly unpacked, freshened up a bit and headed straight to drinks at the hotel’s restaurant, Hart & Hunter. The vibes of this quaint and oh-so-very convenient spot gave me all the Mrs. Maisel “Carnegie Deli” vibes! It had a Southern-inspired menu with a hint of Pacific Northwest ingredients and an eclectic array of libations – my favorite being their signature PFEIFFER SPRITZ (Aperol, passionfruit, sparkling wine, tonic). I highly recommend dining here whether or not you’re a guest at the PaliHotel.
After an evening of exploring our weekend digs, Liam and I settled into our King Studio Room. Again, the decor was stunning and right up my ally – SMEG appliances and all! The room fit Liam, Bristol and I perfectly and still had enough square footage to spare.
Shoutout to this dreamy hotel bathroom for filling my head with visions of one day owning a claw tub!
Before heading to bed, Liam and I indulged in tart red cherries that were uniquely packaged in a tin tied brown paper bag that was waiting for us with a “sleep-aid” note attached. A fun little touch that made our stay that much more unique!
Fun Fact: tart red cherries are known to be a homeopathic remedy to help you sleep better! The cherries carry natural sources of melatonin, which are responsible for the regulation of the body’s internal clock and sleep-wake cycle. The combination of melatonin and the anthocyanins in these tart cherries might help one sleep better throughout the night. Long story short; tasty fruit before bed = a good night sleep! 😉
After a long nights sleep, first-things-first… COFFEE! My internal clock is so consistent that it likes to wake me up at 6:30 am even though I wanted nothing more than to sink further into our dreamy king bed. As the sun rose, the foot of our bed was perfectly highlighted by the sun rays sneaking in from our rooms oversized windows. I couldn’t help but want to wake-up with the Seattle sunrise! I suppose I can’t complain because that just gave me more time to explore, but I would be lying if I didn’t say that I was in DESPERATE need of an early morning pick-me-up! Lucky for us, the hotel had a walk-up coffee window that attached outside of the hotel’s Hart & Hatter restaurant and served fresh-brewed Anchor Head Coffee to help us perk-up for our morning adventures.
With an almond milk latte in one hand and Bristol’s leash in the other, Liam and I decided to explore what later turned out to be one of my favorite aspects of the hotel – their study! Adjacent to the check-in counter, this living area genuinely felt as though Liam and I could have spent hours reading one of its thousands of books curled up on one of their comfy leather coaches, never wanting to leave the hotel property. As a matter of fact, we spent a good hour and a half there enjoying one another’s company. We talked about how we were both taking notes on what decore and design aspects we’d like to implement inside our future home and daydreamed about our year thus far. We were so inspired/gitty that we ordered a bottle of prosecco to celebrate the morning! We could have stayed there all day. But since Liam and I did in fact leave the comfort of our dreamy hotel, I’ve provided you lovelies with a few of our favorite spots to eat at, drink at, and explore in Seattle:
