He Likes Coffee; She Likes Tea
If you know me, you know I’m a huge lover of tea in the early mornings with my breakfast. Forced to choose between coffee or tea, I would choose tea every..single..time! Now, if you asked my man that same question you’d get the complete opposite answer… “He likes coffee; she likes tea.” 😉
Liam and I definitely try to take advantage of early morning breakfast together, seated around our little round table with beautiful views of the Golden Gate Bridge out our bay window. You see, we have very opposite schedules so breakfast is kind of like dinner for us. It’s our time to enjoy one another without the distractions of exhaustion after a long day of work. Also, there’s something so romantic about sitting together watching the city wake-up. The lighting is beautiful on both sunny and rainy days. Do NOT underestimate the awesomeness of a good breakfast date – try it out for yourself and let me know what you think!
We usually start our morning off with a bowl of fresh mixed fruit, blueberry scones and a cup of my homemade vanilla almond tea latte. Now, I am sure you’ve tried all the top of the line lattes from your favorite coffee or tea shops, but nothing beats homemade 🙂 . This delightful vanilla almond tea latte is one of my newest beverage concoctions and a reader “must try”. The best thing about it is how quick and easy it is to make!
Thank you The Republic of Tea for sponsoring this post!
- 1 teabag of Republic of Tea Vanilla Almond
- 1 teabag of Republic of Tea Vanilla Almond
- ½ cup of water
- ½ cup of water
- ½ cup of steamed Lucerne Vanilla Almond Milk
- ½ cup of steamed Lucerne Vanilla Almond Milk
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- With a tea kettle, warm-up some hot water. Once your tea kettle starts to whistled at you, take it off of the stove and let it simmer down for about 5 minutes.
- Grab your favorite teacup and place the teabag at the bottom of it. Pour a ½ cup of water into your cup + a drop of honey and let it soak together for about 3 min.
- While you are letting your teabag settle in the hot water, grab your favorite frother (mine is the Nespresso Aeroccino Plus) and steam a ½ cup of vanilla almond milk. Once your ½ cup of almond milk is hot and ready to go, add it into your teacup slowly so that the froth sits at the top.
- Drizzle 1 tablespoon of honey at the very top of your froth, and don't forget to get creative with your drizzling - everyone loves a good presentation 😉 .
- Sit down, relax and enjoy this tasty treat with some fresh fruit and scones 🙂
